Lodging

Lodging is available nearby for those looking to stay a few days, or for the person just passing through the area that wants to stop off for a short trip and stay the night before continuing their journey. Ask us about nearby cabins, campgrounds, and hotels all conveniently located just minutes away from our location.

Your Trip

We will transport you upstream to the launch point where our friendly staff will help you get launched and your fun-filled day begins. The time it takes you to complete your trip depends on how long your stops are on the beaches, and how fast you paddle. Once on the stream, the canoe or kayak is yours for the rest of the day. There is no guide, you can set your own pace, and stop where and when you want. You are on your own to stop and sunbathe on the snow-white beaches, swim, play, picnic, fish, or simply relax and enjoy the tranquil forest. The trip will end back at your car at the Blackwater River State Park.

The Outpost

Be sure to bring plenty to eat and drink (up to a 28-inch cooler will fit in your canoe). Rental coolers are available at the Outpost as well. Please bring plenty of garbage bags to put your litter in, or purchase all of your picnic supplies at THE OUTPOST. We stock it all…food, drink, sunscreen, T-Shirts, ice, firewood, dry boxes and much more... along with CLEAN RESTROOMS.
